Bjurkärr nature reserv
The beech forest in Bjurkärr is one of the biggest in Småland, probably also the oldest. The magnificent "Karoliner-oaks" are more than 270 years old. There are two marked trails in the area, one of them, the blue one, is adapted for disabled. The birdlife is rich, with interesting species eg. lesser spotted woodpecker, stock dove, red-breasted flycatcher and wood warbler. During the colder part of the year also white-tailed eagle and common merganser.
