Nature reserve Agnäs
Agnäs Nature Reserve is located on a promontory that extends into Lake Åsnen, southeast of Torne Bridge along the eastern part of the Julöfjorden.
Agnäs is one of the largest noble deciduous forest areas at Åsnen, a remnant of the former forests that surrounded the lake.The remaining forests at Åsnen are of particular biological significance as a biotope for endangered animals and plants. Agnäs is dominated by beech forests that are between 80 years and 120 years old, but there are also single older giant oaks with high natural values.
